Harvard honor to Lok Satta leader
Mrs. Hyma Praveen of the Lok Satta Party has been invited to take part in the Harvard India conference on ‘Prospects of India and paradox in 2014’ to be held at Boston on February 15.
Mrs. Hyma, whom the Lok Satta Party has named as its candidate to contest the 2014 election to the Assembly from Sanatnagar, is the only politician from India to be invited to the conference.
Highly educated Mrs. Hyma had given up her lucrative career in the U. It is prepared to allocate more tickets to women than stipulated in the Women’s Reservation Bill. The party has ensured that women are given due representation in the party by making institutional arrangements. She appealed to women with commitment, dedication and leadership qualities to utilize the Lok Satta Party as their platform for changing the nature of politics.
Among those who took part in the function were State Yuva Satta President P. Sivaji, Greater Hyderabad Lok Satta President Dosapati Ramu, Vice President Gajanani and Assistant Secretary Pericherla Bhavani and Jubilee Hills and Malkajgiri Lok Satta candidates Bonthu Sambi Reddy and Dileep Sankar Reddy.
