A fighter for weaker sections: Dr. JP on Bapuji
Mr. Konda Lakshman Bapuji fought all through his life for justice to weaker and oppressed sections, said Lok Satta Party national President Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan today.
Dr. JP, who paid homage to the body of Bapuji at his residence, recalled that Bapuji played a key role in the fight for freedom, liberation of the princely State of Hyderabad and its merger with the Indian Union. He always highlighted the importance of simple life and values in public life. He fought day and night for getting justice rendered to the weaver caught up in a crisis. Unmindful of his age Bapuji fought for formation of a social Telangana in tune with people's wishes as part of an amicable and comprehensive solution to the problem.
Dr. JP described the passing away of Bapuji, who was always outspoken and sincere in expressing his views, as a loss to the nation.
