“At a time when civil services are under great pressure and there is need to restore public confidence in them, the passing away of Mr. AVS Reddy today leaves a deep void”, said Lok Satta Party President Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan.

Conveying his deepest condolences to the bereaved family, Dr. JP said in a statement that “AVS was a fine public servant full of compassion and dynamism. A man of people, he never thought of himself merely as an officer. He always acted with courage and led from the front.”

Dr. JP recalled that he had known AVS personally for over three decades and benefited from his great warmth, love and affection. “All of us who knew him during his life time feel a deep sense of loss”, Dr. JP said.
