Lok Satta Party founded by Dr.Jayaprakash Narayan(JP), a former IAS officer. Dr.JP is a physician by training who went into the Indian Administrative Service in the aftermath of the Emergency and failure of the Janata Experiment. He was a topper in the IAS exam. During the 16 years of distinguished public service in various capacities, he acquired a formidable reputation in public service. The party was founded by him in 2006, after 10 years of creating a people's movement. Today, Lok Satta Party has state chapters in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. Dr.JP himself won the April 2009 Assembly elections in AP and is a sitting MLA from Kukatpally constituency in Hyderabad, AP. |
