Tuesday, 09 August 2011 08:18 Lok Satta Invites ALL to 2-day workshop in Mumbai (14-15 Aug)   Dear fellow friends and Co-workers (LokSatta-ites) in this momentous and vital task of Nation Building,
Namaskar !!! Jai Hind to all !!!
All of you are either Lok Satta Members, Sympathisers or Well-wishers.To put it succinctly, we are/have been in some way or the other involved with Lok Satta. Lok Satta's appeal of 'Clean and Ethical Politics' alongwith our own commitment of aligning with the cause and contributing in whatever way we can, are equally responsible for our association with the organisation.
While we are working on the ground at grass-roots level as well as in the hallowed echelons of public policy advocacy, there is a need to understand Lok Satta's ideology and brain-storm it's stance on various issues as well as examine the strategy as well as tactics being used for it's implementation. Besides, we also need to bond with our fellow Lok Satta-ites and review and strategise towards contribution to building the organisation and supporting evolving leadership.
Most importantly, none of us are indispensable and this struggle is not for personal gain but for public good. Our individual goals must be alligned to national goals and for larger public good. Nobody has proprietorial rights over leadership and we are proud to showcase our latest crop of young leaders, who are from varied back-grounds.
We are on the threshold of BMC Polls 2012 and it's a perfect opportunity to launch our platform and get our well-oiled party machinery in place, which is our only hope in defeating money, muscle power and divisive vote bank agenda and usher in a new political culture.
With the above intent and goals, a 2-day focused and intensive workshop on has been arranged at Lok Satta Auditorium on Sunday,14th and Monday,15th August,2011.
